This year I’m going to be taking part in a blog circle with some amazingly talented photographers whom all share my passion for both travelling and photography. Each month we will all share a blog post showing our own interpretation of that months ‘word’. January’s word is Luminescence, which, because of living in the UK has actually been quite handy as natural light can be somewhat scarce this time of year.
I’ve gone with an interpretation around electrical light and I love these shots of Bella and Max taken on my driveway using the headlights from our car.
Being a country girl, there is a distinct lack of electrical light around here so I decided to take a walk in our counties city after dark, which was a refreshing change on perspective. I had great fun with my Gorilla Pod, slow shutter speeds and high apertures.
Follow the blog circle to see what my fellow photographer’s have created. Next up is the super talented Julie Anne from Julie Anne Images. Enjoy!
gorgeous! Love seeing your work again!
Vicki, I’m really happy to be sharing this blog circle with you this year. I’ve enjoyed taking a peek into your winter nights. Fantastic work!
Love that you used headlights! The starbursts of light from the long exposures are really atmospheric – looking forward to getting to know you & your corner of the world!
I love your take on Luminescence, Vicki. And I love that this blog is making me travel around europe !
Hi Vicky! Great to see you again on a regular basis. I like that idea. I love your view on our word. It’s a beautiful authentic English town you live in. I really look forward to your posts in 2017.
I love your take on the theme Vicki and how you’ve gone and shot after dark, the shape and lighting in your last image is amazing. I love the inclusion of the flock of birds too!
